Beets in Ginger-Soy Sauce1


Ingredients:

  • 5-6  cooked beets, cut into circles
  • 3 Tbsp. of fresh grated ginger
  • 8-10 shallot

For the marinade:

  • 1 Tbsp. ginger (powder)
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • 5 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 / 2 cup of water

Preparation:

Put the beets, onion and ginger in a deep bowl. Stir and leave for 15-20 minutes.

Prepare the marinade: mix all ingredients for the marinade.

Add marinade into the pickled beets. Mix good. Put in a cool place for 24 hours.
